Blackjack Rules

A game of blackjack is played between the croupier (the bank) and the other players. Each player has the same aim: to obtain more points than the croupier without exceeding 21.

Beware! If you get more than 21 points, you lose your initial stake.

Card values in blackjack

The value of cards between 2 and 10 corresponds to that which is shown on the card (e.g: a 2 is worth two points).

A face card is worth 10 points.

An ace is worth 1 or 11 according to the player’s wishes.

The best possible hand is Ace + Face card or 10, which gives you blackjack in 2 cards (sum of the cards equal to 21)! For blackjack, you automatically win one and a half times your stake!

Blackjack stakes

Every table displays a range of stakes, showing the minimum and maximum stakes for the table.

If the table limit is $1 - $300, the minimum stake per hand is $1and the maximum is $300.

How to play blackjack

Players place their bets before each hand.

The croupier deals one card face up to each player and one card face down to himself. He then deals a second card face up to everyone.

The croupier then asks each of the players about their intentions, starting with the player on the left. Each player then says whether or not they would like to receive additional cards.

On the internet, if you would like another card, you must click on “Hit” (or “Draw”). If you don’t want to be dealt any more cards, click on “Stand”. You can ask for as may cards as you wish.

Once all of the players have received their cards, the croupier deals a card to himself, while following a simple rule: he must “draw” cards whenever his total is below 17.

If the croupier’s hand exceeds 21 points, all of the remaining players win. If the croupier’s total is between 17 and 21, all of the players with more points than the croupier win. If a player has the same number of points as the croupier, his stake is returned.
